By Patrick HiegerThat sound you hear is the collective rumbling of our stomachs as caused by this year’s relentless festival season. Conveniently set right between Argentina’s two major festivals next month, the 6th edition of Uruguay’s Punta del Este Food and Wine festival will happen October 11 and 12. Like previous editions, the current festival will be comprised of a series of culinary events as cooked by some of the region’s leading chefs, including Kamilla Seidler, Juan Gaffuri, and Clo Dimet.
Tickets to each of the culinary events, which include live cookouts as well as a sunset dance party set on one of South America’s best beaches, can be purchased individually, or as a complete weekend pass, which runs US $400. As a lead-in to spring, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a more delicious event. For complete information on the visiting chefs, as well as a schedule of the events, head to the festival’s website.
