On March 1 and 2, leading female minds from throughout the many facets of gastronomy, from science to farming, chefs to sommeliers, will gather in Bilbao, Spain for the first-ever Parabere Forum. Though not exclusively for women, the event will focus on the growing role of women in the culinary field, providing round tables, workshops, classes, and more. Professionals will come from five different continents to share their experience, including Gustu’s Kamilla Seidler, Leonor Espinosa of Bogotá’s Leo Cocina y Cava, and Brazilian chef Roberta Sudbrack, from her eponymously titled restaurant in Rio de Janeiro.

As much a luxury barbecue with some of Latin America’s top chefs as it is a culinary festival held on one of South America’s most beautiful beaches, this year’s Punta Del Este Food and Wine festival was another opportunity for the hungry and fabulous to come out and enjoy good food, great weather, and a chance to rub elbows with top talent.  This year’s special guests included Gustu’s Kamilla Seidler and Astor’s Antonio Soriano, amongst a whole slew of other invited chefs from throughout the region.  If you weren’t able to attend this year’s installment, have a quick look at what you missed, and be sure and check back for next year’s edition.
