By Patrick HiegerWe told you last month that the team from Gustu and Melting Pot in La Paz were about to open a non-profit culinary school, called Manq’a, focused on giving underprivileged youth a chance to learn a valuable trade via cooking. Well, now they’re open and running, and looking to inspire a whole new generation of young cooks in Bolivia. In their first television ad in promotion of the school, we get to see the bounty that Bolivian land has to offer, as well as students from the first generation of classes at Gustu / Melting Pot now working as teachers to teach future generations. The school, and the movement as a whole isn’t just good for what could be the future of modern Bolivian gastronomy, but for the surrounding community as a whole. Needless to say, this quick ad might just make you hungry, and might just make you want to go to Bolivia.
