Top Lat Am Female Chefs Represent At Next Month’s Parabere Forum In Bilbao, Spain (ES)

On March 1 and 2, leading female minds from throughout the many facets of gastronomy, from science to farming, chefs to sommeliers, will gather in Bilbao, Spain for the first-ever Parabere Forum. Though not exclusively for women, the event will focus on the growing role of women in the culinary field, providing round tables, workshops, classes, and more. Professionals will come from five different continents to share their experience, including Gustu’s Kamilla Seidler, Leonor Espinosa of Bogotá’s Leo Cocina y Cava, and Brazilian chef Roberta Sudbrack, from her eponymously titled restaurant in Rio de Janeiro. 

Leonor Espinosa Has Won Over Madrid Fusión (ES)

Although, lamentably, we’re not on hand at this year’s edition of Madrid Fusion, it’s hard not to be overwhelmed by the coverage that’s emanating from Spain. While chefs like Andoni Aduriz, from Mugaritz in San Sebastián remain the perennial favorites, it seems that, once again, South America walks away with the most applause. Tuesday in Madrid, it was Colombian chef Leonor Espinosa’s chance to take the stage and enlighten guests as to the incredible biodiversity that we’re finally starting to see enter kitchens throughout the country. According to El Tiempo, she took all of the applause.
