By Patrick HiegerJust two weeks after the wildly successful (and long line-inducing) third edition of Feria Masticar, the second edition of Festival Raíz, which last year took Buenos Aires by storm, is back for another three days of serious food and drink. With a bigger lineup of chefs, food stands, gourmet products, presentations, and live cooking demonstrations from the likes of famous chefs like Francis Mallmann, Raíz will likely be the event that everyone in Buenos Aires is talking about for some time to come. Mark your calendars: Raíz is happening this weekend, from October 31 to November 2 at Tecnopolis. This is not to be missed.
This year’s festival will feature 250 different restaurants and producers offering gourmet products and ingredients across 80 different stands, three markets, and four ‘patios de comida.’ There will be chats and classes from leading chefs, an entire area dedicated to kids, and a whole section dedicated to craft beer with more than 35 producers on hand. Did we mention entry is free?
