Back for the first edition of 2015, Buenos Aires Food Week kicks off next Monday, April 13, and will feature more than 40 of the capital city’s leading restaurants. Although locally sponsored in the past, the Buenos Aires Food Week has now been taken over by Restorando, the leading online reservations site in South America. Back in March, Santiago, Chile held their first-ever version of the event, as did Lima, Peru. As the Restorando network grows, we can expect each edition in each country to get better each year.

It’s here! From March 30 to April 19, 201 restaurants all over the city offer a set lunch and dinner menu for diners to experience the best from their kitchen. This year, chefs take on the theme Healthy Gastronomy to create enticing menus with fresh, local ingredients, priced at R$38,90 for lunch and R$48,90 for dinner. For each meal, R$1 will go to the Cafú Foundation, which fights economic inequality in Brazil through various education programs.

Just as the first-ever Santiago Dining Week comes to a close this Sunday, the first edition of Lima Food Week will begin on Monday. Just like the Santiago version, Lima Food Week is being sponsored by Restorando, the online reservations platform that is taking hold across Latin America. Although this isn’t the first ‘restaurant week’ in Lima, with a sponsorship that spans several countries, it could easily become the best.

For some reason, these restaurant weeks are never just seven days long. Regardless, taking full advantage of the recent boom in restaurant openings, cooking shows, gourmet guides, and the rapid growth of the culinary scene in Santiago, Chile, the first-ever Santiago Dining Week will give eager eaters the chance to try some of the city’s best restaurants. Just like similar versions in Buenos Aires and Lima, Santiago Dining Week will be a two week event featuring 25 restaurants offering specially-priced three course meals.

This year, participating restaurants will include Jardín de Asia, Manqua, La Tranquera, Yerba Buena, and others.  For the moment, official sponsor Qué Planes‘ site is down, but for a full list of participating restaurants, head over to La Paz Gourmet.  We’ll see you at the table.
