Argentine Wine Tasting Thursday Night

Leave it to the folks at Nirvino bring us a high-end wine tasting on the same night as Canela Patisserie’s special first anniversary dinner with pairings from Boragó’s own Rodolfo Guzman.  Decisions aside, the wine tasting promises to be pretty spectacular, with a decent price tag of $18.000 CLP per person.  The event, appropriately called “Tango y Vino,” be just that–a night full of Argentine wines, Argentine food from W Hotel’s Argentine chef Sergio González, and, you guessed it, tango.  The event will take place at Maison de France (San Crescente 451, Las Condes) and will feature wines from Argentine wineries such as Achaval Ferrer, Chandon, and Zorzal.  The event begins at 7:00 and tickets are limited.  Salud! TONIGHT!! Providencia “Spanglish” Party

For all of you Spanglish speakers looking either to improve your “Span-” or your “-glish,” tomorrow night (and every Tuesday for that matter) is your chance.  The Facebook group Spanglish Party is having their weekly edition of the event at Café del Patio, located at Providencia 1670, local 8, 2nd floor.  The closest metro stop is Pedro de Valdivia.  The event is free and happy hour runs until 9 pm, including $1500 CLP Pisco Sours.  The goal of the event is to bring together Spanish and English speakers in a fun, relaxed environment to practice their non-native tongue.  Check back here weekly for the new location.  [via Spanglish Party]
